Hurley Medical Center joins McLaren Health Plan network

McLaren Health Plan’s commercial hospital network continues to grow with the addition of Hurley Medical Center in Flint.
Hurley Medical Center joined the growing network of provider hospitals affiliated with McLaren Health Plan, effective January 1, 2010. This relationship means that current and future McLaren Health Plan subscribers can now access the full range of services offered by Hurley Medical Center.
“This is great news for the residents and business owners in the greater Genesee, Lapeer, and Shiawassee region. Our commercial members will now have access to the same high-quality health care services that our Medicaid members have had for years,” said Kathy Kendall, President and CEO of McLaren Health Plan. Hurley Medical Center, a 443-bed hospital, is the region’s Level I Trauma Center and home of the highest level Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
McLaren Health Plan’s other provider hospitals in this region include McLaren Regional Medical Center, Lapeer Regional Medical Center, and Memorial Healthcare Center.

The health plan’s provider network includes more than 42 hospitals, 8,500 physicians, and other health care providers.
